Hello, My Friends,
Last night I went on a bit of a rant about the sheer ignorance of what Traditional Catholicism is.
I relayed my experience with going from the Novus Ordo to Tradition, and I think it will resonate with you!
Take a moment to watch
Cheers
Kennedy
Our family, like yours, resorted to the nearest Latin Mass parish (50 minutes away) when lockdowns robbed us of access to our local Mass. My husband and I, along with our two remaining children at home, consider this the greatest blessing to come out of that insane time. As converts of over 20 years, we had puzzled over many things in N.O. world, which was not much like the glimpse of the Catholicism we had fallen in love with on our excruciating journey... largely through reading old Catholic treasures. We do feel like we are starting all over again as there is so much to learn! But the journey now is full of a sublime richness and innumerable blessings which can only be found within Tradition. Thanks be to God for leading us to this true home.
Thank you, Kennedy, for putting a finger on the reality that "they do not understand Tradition AT ALL", and shifting the burden of proof onto them. Such abysmal formation all around, including among bishops, as we experienced firsthand. Truly our NO brothers and sisters need our prayers and encouragement to keep asking questions, keep digging to find the Truth of our faith.
Kennedy, my Archdiocese of Brisbane in Australia, shut down churches for 8 months, and after they reopened them, they did not restore the Sunday Obligation for parishioners for 2.5years!
