BREAKING: "Charismania: The Truth About the Charismatic Renewal" is PUBLISHED
The Definitive book on the Charismatic Renewal
Dear Subscribers,
At long last, my book on the Charismatic Renewal — Charismania — has been published! The paperback is ready to go, and the eBook should be approved any time now, likely within the day or by tomorrow. You can find the book here.
Also, the audiobook will be available in a couple of weeks; Audible takes a bit to accept and review. However, if you are a free subscriber and you prefer audio and you just can’t wait, if you sign up as a premium subscriber, you can access the audio version of each chapter here.
I wanted to say THANK YOU, to all the premium subscribers as you have made this book possible. If it wasn’t for you, I would not be able to devote so much time to writing. I am very excited about the future, because with your help I can continue to produce good Catholic books to help readers understand the Catholic Faith, especially Catholic Tradition.
Lastly, I have something funny, and sort of embarrassing to tell you… I submitted the formatted manuscript to be published, and it was accepted no problem, but I found something out after; I had forgotten to add a Table of Contents! Such is life, and the updated file is being uploaded presently, but if you buy it quick you may get your hands on what we might call, “a collector’s addition.” Ha! More like I was forgetful.
In any event, I am sure you will enjoy it, and it might make a good Christmas present for a friend, family member, or yourself.
Cheers
Kennedy
I was wondering why that was missing! I just thought, wow guess he just gets right into it lol. Oh well, I know it will still be a very enjoyable and informative read. God bless you and your family Kennedy! And Merry Christmas while still within the Octave of the Nativity.
Our parish began Bible Studies several years ago through a program called Catholic Way Bible Study which was developed by Lavinia Spirito who gives a DVD presentation at each weekly Bible study. I began to attend the year-long study on the book of Genesis which contained the oft-encountered modernist understanding of the Big Bang, long ages, no true Adam and Eve, the charge that belief in supernatural creation in six/24 hour days is Protestant fundamentalism, not Catholicism (although I doubt that Protestants have read the writings of Church Fathers on the Hexameron.) Covid intervened that year, but I think I would have decided that this study of Genesis was not helpful. After that I discovered CWBS’s ties to the CCR. This page from the CWBS I am linking reveals that the head of Renewal Ministries, Peter Herbeck, is on the Board of Directors and since Lavinia lives in the Diocese of Lexington, the spiritual guide for CWBS is none other than Bishop Stowe who allows a woman pretending to be a man to be a hermit in his diocese. In any event, I would not recommend this Bible study.
